Sleep inducing oils

 


Sleep is a body necessity that allows all body organs to rest after a long day's activity. But the important fact is that only a healthy sleep can have the desired effect on a person's physical and mental stability. But, there are some essential oils known to promote sound sleep and heal all sleep disorders. All these natural oils are derived from flowers, fruits, and wood of various types of trees and plants.
1. Lavender Oil -
Extracted from lavender flowers, this sweet-smelling oil is great for calming anxiety. Thus, it is recommended to apply this oil before going to bed for restful, undisturbed sleep. Applying 1-2 drops of lavender oil or on the user's forehead, wrists and feet will help soothe it. The essence will help you fall asleep.
2. Roman Chamomile -
Many people are accustomed to drinking chamomile tea for health reasons. But, this essential oil extracted from the Roman Chamomile plant can relax the user's body and mind. Gentle herbal essence oil reminiscent of apples. This sweet scent works as a stress reliever and reduces all negative emotions such as anger, bitterness, and irritation.

This oil is derived from the bark of the cedar wood tree. It is used for relaxing agitated nerves, due to its natural sedative power. A few drops of this essential oil can be added to the pillow of a patient suffering from insomnia and watched the difference instantly. Apart from inducing a feeling of tranquility, this oil helps in fighting the common cold and different household pests.
4. Votive -
This oil is extracted from the votive plant and is also known as Rufus in many Asian countries. By applying it directly to the skin of your body, you can reduce mental stress and get a good night's sleep. It also works quickly to relieve mental trauma and emotional shock. It is used as a drug to relax the nerves and stimulate the body's circulatory system.
5. Valor -
This essential oil is made by mixing rosewood oil, frankincense oil, black spruce oil, and blue tansy oil. Its woody scent helps in maintaining balance in the nervous system, resulting in increasing the physical and mental strength of the user. Moreover, it induces courage, self-confidence, and concentration.
6. Orange –
Derived from fresh orange peel this oil has a sweet, fruity scent that is calming. It enhances the user's mood and acts as an antidepressant. This essential oil is also known for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It also contains the antioxidant D-limonene, which helps in the regeneration of body cells.
7. Stress Away –
This essential oil is made by blending lime essential oil and vanilla extract. Other pure essential oils such as lavender oil and cedar wood oil may be added to this beneficial oil to make it a more powerful sleep inducer. Mentally pacifies and banishes all tensions and painful emotions from the mind. The best way to use these essential oils is to spray them into your nostrils using a small household diffuser. If you don't have such a remedy, rub a few drops of one of these oils into your palm, hold your hand in front of your nose and inhale the essence. It can massage to induce faster and healthier sleep.
